Staffordshire County Showground Pet Show hoping to raise £5,000 for charity

A pet show taking place at Staffordshire County Showground next month is hoping to raise £5,000 for charity.

The Pet Show, which will be at the showground on August 19 and August 20, wants to raise the money for pet related charities.

The charities include City Dogs Home, Animal Lifeline and Smokey Paws - the charity which donates lifesaving pet oxygen masks to fire services across the UK.

To raise the money, the show is undertaking two activities. The first saw event director Ian Sear run five marathons in five days, while the second will see the show donating £2 for every ticket sold to the show until the fundraising target is met.

Next month's anticipated event will feature birds of prey flying displays, dog agility competitions and more than 100 pet stalls.
